Little bird, little bird, you longed to fly so high. Your wings they would have flapped one day, to take you to the sky.

Your tiny little body, lay in my hand, so light. Your tiny little heartbeat had tried with all it’s might.

I don’t know where you came from, little baby bird, when I found you lying on the ground, I did not know what had occurred.

You Mummy must have missed you, ‘cause you looked rather sweet - from the tip of your cute little beak, right down to your tiny feet.

Somewhere there is a Mummy bird, she’s sitting in her nest. She’s wondering, whilst feeding babies, perhaps she even feels distress?

Little bird, little bird, I hope your soul can fly away to some place very special, though you’ll be missed right here today.
