Breaded fish with chips and veg, A dinner quick and easy. Broccoli, sweet corn, butternut squash, plus, of course, some peas-eys!
We sit and chat and munch our way, through our plates of food, Chilling now, the kid's bedtime rush over, which usually helps with my mood!
So I'm eating away, pleased it's still early and wondering what I'll do tonight. But then, as I look down upon my plate, something gives me a fright....
It's about an inch long, It doesn't belong, I'm feeling rather queasy! A boiled-with-the-veg little green caterpillar, laying there all bold and breezy!!
All I can say, now I've had chance to calm, Is THANK GOODNESS IT WAS STILL WHOLE!!!! If I'd found any missing, I'd be spewing and hissing, my dinner, down the toilet bowl!!!
The thought of it now, Even though it's all over and the little critter's untouched, Leaves a lump in my throat, Makes my cheeks want to bloat, Caterpillar anyone? No Thanks Very Much!!!!
Eeeeeeeeew, going to wash my veg and check it with the utmost German precision from now on!!! O-o
