I'm 'feeling' at a distance, See my emotions through the glass
My beating heart, it speeds and slows, But rarely does it last
There's a haze over my gaze, A fence around my heart
Lest you berate, belittle, and judge me, Trying your best to pick me apart
I'm building walls from space dust, Invisible to you
Don't bother throwing your grenades anymore - 'cause they're not getting through
You think that you know better, You're all the f...ing same
Go take your assumptions somewhere else, I will not take this blame!
If you could spend a week, or maybe just a day... You'd soon see what the story is, you wouldn't want to play
But I don't have that option, For this is not a game
And your b......cks I can't deal with, Need all my strength, there's no more 'tame'
I'm roaring like a lioness, (But quietly, from within)
Do not step in my way to lead - For I WON'T let you in!
I may look like a pussycat, Or something all fluffy and cute,
But you will be surprised my dear, I'm secretly astute!
Be helpful, empathetic, Just try it out for size
But if that's too damn difficult, It could spell your demise
Go boil your head!!!!! For I just don't have the time
To sit here nodding like a good little girl, While you give your orders, I follow them, just like a rhyme
I'm not a bl..dy puppet, This has all turned into a farce,
I'm sick of miming all of your actions, So take your hand out of my a...!!
To recap, this is MY life, Nobody's telling me
how to sort this problem out, So just p..s off and let me be!
You think that you know better, Well, I'm telling you, you do NOT
But it seems you'll think it always, So, I'll just leave you to think that silly rot
You cannot make decisions When it comes to MY family
So I'll just smile and wave from now on, It's the only way to be!
Haaaaaaaaaaah....... Now that feels just a little bit better. Not nearly everything, but it makes for a good start! ;D
