How To Poem (According To Me)

Poetry is a simple thing
Just like a simple thought-
It comes and goes-
It flows and flows-
Words that bend the heart.

Poetry may not be for all
But all can make it
If all has a will
Then all have a way
To make it
Smooth as silk.

Poetry is not that hard
You don't even need big words
It just requires
You think
And watch
And put things into verse.

But poetry, it need not rhyme
It need not make good sense
It doesn't even have a need
For topics in light, since

Poetry is all yourself
Not a speck of someone else
Your thoughts, your flow
Your type of magic
Your own peculiar

Expressions.

And with poetry
You can do anything!
Add! The punctuation!
Wherever-
You so wish-
And do things with
The spacing
You cannot do
Without

The key to poetry,
I've seen
Is in this simple truth:
If it has a rhythm to you
That's good enough,
Forsooth!

Without words
Poems still fly
With
Haoana ka gra
Aedra pakula
Evainia mahaaaha
Eeh oh h-hey

They still go on
A river is
Still a river when
It is covered by
A bridge
(And yes I just
Put down those words
As I went - no idea
If they mean
something
To someone.)

You don't need
To plan it
Like you would a book.
Just write down
That which sounds right
And there you go, look.

Poetry depends on naught
Just one person - you!
And you have power
Over it
So show the world anew!

Poetry is creativity-
The light that shines in all-
It showers down on you as well-
Just give it wings
And open the cage
To be free.

Poetry is
Formless
Shapeless
Lock-less
Hateless.

And that's why I
love poetry.
