Have you ever seen such an
exquisite thing
Each and every person has such
fear for it
As if they could stop it by clinging
'survivors' of disaster
Ringing doom bells, foretelling
loss of themselves
Treasure, they call it,
to hurt themselves so
By gods! How they scramble
madly, in terror
Ripping themselves from the moment
to flee, cowards all
Over every shining moment they
wrap life in grey-gloom shrouds
Kept nothing sacred, tore
all of it down
Exhausting, it must be, to
shudder so much
Neverland with you, because
to us, I know it won't happen.

Yo. Me? I'm a professional Metaphor Creator - aka taking two things and sticking them together with determination and lots of glue to make a sandwich. (That's pretty much how I write, too. But hey, sandwiches are great, aren't they? Even if you have to look at the base idea of it.) Also known as a Thinker, Dreamer, Sleeper, and/or TalksTooMucher.
