This sweet old lady That sat in her chair Done nothin whatsoever But sit and just stare
The old sweet lady That say calmly in her chair Looked ever so frail With her bright white hair
Lonely this lady looks So quiet and small Frightened scared and nervous of all.
As I walk over to the lady She sees me with a smile Feeling her near me Makes life worth while.
My warm hand touches hers And she flinches as I touch There's nothing more I would do Then gain all her trust.
We talk for a while About the war and family She also tells me her name Is Emily.
This one dear lady Who felt so alone Will always have this place that she can call home.
We sat there for hours And she began to smile She then closed her eyes Which felt like a while
Whilst watching She let out a sigh Leaned over and said Thank you and goodbye
