Lying in the dark Hoping for a dreamless sleep I've been watching Supernatural Surely nightmares will haunt my dreams

Just as I'm settling down To rest my weary head I hear faint scratching at the window by my bed

I panic and I jump It has to be a ghost! Half a second passes I hear the voice I host

"Meoooowww" she calls desperately Translation: Let me in! I swallow my heart and make my way to the windowsill

"You little brat, you scared me!" She doesn't seem to mind I take her through dark corridors Afraid to look behind

I let her in to eat And rush myself to bed I jump under the covers Pulling them over my head

My only escape from darkness Is the light coming from my phone So I have to type to take my mind off What could be lurking in my home

Damn you, Supernatural! I should have watched a sitcom And now I'm up, half four in the morning Waiting for a demon
