Last night when I was fast asleep I suddenly awoke to find No longer in my cosy bed I was drifting through time
I saw my mother, six years old Playing with her toys And Grandpa was a young man Teaching his little boys
I drifted once again and found A musket in my hands I dropped down by my comrades And with them scoured the lands
The musket faded, in its place Appeared a baby girl So attached to this stranger I vowed to give her all the world
But seconds later she was gone And I was in a field With a circle of youths meditating Creating a force field shield
My alarm clock started beeping Sirens in my dream I didn't wake, I ran for cover In a safe house so it seemed
I wasn't there for long As I drifted away once more And found myself in my bed A knocking on my door
I answered it to find a basket Full of breakfast yummies *Knock knock* again, this time I woke Time to fill the tummies
Oh how I wish I had the basket My poor groggy head Up 'til six, snoozed on the couch I should have gone to bed!
