The evergreen forest contrasted with the royal blue sky. Such a gentle thing nature is. My bark coloured high boots stepped on the crispy leaves, they crinkled; the tiny pieces soon lifted by the spring breeze and spun in the air like each piece was dancing a ballad with another. It was so beautiful here. I felt safe. I felt like I really belonged here.
Another sudden, unexpected crinkle sounded; a much heavier one. I stood still, but cautious of my surroundings. My feet seemed glued to the ground as curiosity gleamed through me. A hand reached the bark of a tree, carefully leaning against the oak stood a complete stranger. Slightly hesitating, I scanned him; tall, leaf green eyes, hazelnut hair, he wore black boots and a long, leather jacket. I looked away immediately as his gaze wandered from me to the tree next to him.
"Hello" a voice escaped. A voice with interest.
"Hi" I replied, slightly startled by my voice actually saying something.
There was an awkward pause until the stranger spoke again.
"You are?" "Natasha"
Why I was talking to this admittingly handsome stranger I had no idea. The main quiver in my mind was why was he talking. Soon I realised he had actually said something... He was now staring at me blankly, and I couldn't help but stare back into his gorgeous eyes.
"I'm Alek?" he repeated. "Oh" I replied dully.
He laughed, a velvet, pleasant laugh. He took my hand. And I gasped, but he slowly put his hand over my mouth to shut me up. Then something very unexpected happened: his lips touched mine. But as quickly as they touched, they let go, followed by Alek running off and me standing in shock.
