Finishing my last streak on my drawing, I stared at Alek; touching his face. But then something hit me. Time. How could I of not realised. The loathsome arrow kept on ticking, no matter how much I wished it would stop.

Immediately after packing my little possessions and of course Alek into my satchel, I ran down the field as fast as my legs would allow me. My heart leaped in and out of my chest, and my blood was rapidly racing like go carts all around my body. Finally, a familiar little cottage came into site, with lights all on and steam coming out of the stone chimney.

Slightly relaxing, I sighed. I knew what kind of questions would be asked as I entered that wooden door, and still unprepared I knocked on the door and a worried, worn- out face showed up.

"Natasha! Oh thank goodness... Where have you been all this time?" My mother asked.

But as soon as I tried to reply my father popped out too- and he was angry.

"I want a proper explanation from you, young lady!"

"I...I was on the field. And, I lost track of the time. Oh I'm so sorry mum and dad I really am..." I stammered, words jumping from one to another and stopping and starting again like a wind up toy.

"We didn't know what to think!" my mum carried on.

"We all searched for you. Everywhere!"

"I'm sorry... I was sketching-"

"Oh sketching were you? Natasha... You've got to understand to keep track of your time! It's the same story all the time". Father continued.

"Now go to bed, you've given is enough hassle and stress!" Mum dictated.

I only nodded, and croaked out: "Sorry". I was then walking up, the barely stable, creaky stairs and collapsing onto my bed that I shared with my little sister.

I knew the reason why I didn't keep track of my time. There always was a reason. I could of told them the real one, I could of said, but I didn't. Because of Alek. Alek was the only reason. And this reason I would keep in secret.
