The rest of the week flew by like the wind. With each day, my plan was joining its pieces together like a jigsaw puzzle. And that's when it was time- sunday arrived.
I packed all I needed into my forever used satchel; sketching pad, water, food, umbrella, and binoculars. I had already made it clear to my parents that I was supposedly, going for a walk with Jessica and Alice. I know it was bad to lie, but I had no other way to escape- sometimes you have to. Sadly, my parents gave me only two hours. Two scarce hours to investigate. And I couldn't take any risks, I was already throwing myself into a pit of danger.
For the hundredth time I reached the top of the hill, but this time I checked for any strangers behind me. Nobody. Well, this gives me one thing to look out for: whoever was spying on me knew what they were doing, and they knew the tricks of camouflage too. I turned right, and then left to make sure, before I entered the woods.
After walking for a few minutes, I repeated my turns routine- nobody. But I was not giving up yet, I had to make use of my binoculars. Digging them out, I hanged them on my neck and looked into them; turning back first. I gasped. A dark, mysterious, manly figure was walking up to the forest. I panicked. I needed to calm down, I was expecting something like this to happen, so why was I shifting from left to right like a crazy mouse, desperate to escape from a hungry cat? At last my mind gave me peace- I spotted the same oak I saw Alek leaning against. Scrambling up the tree, I sat on the highest branch, carefully protected by the leaves. The figure entered the woods. He first looked to the the little patch of blueberries, but didn't find what he was looking for; could of the 'what he was looking for' be me? Then he carried on walking, getting closer and closer by each footstep to the oak. I gulped, he was a few meters away from me-when I recognised who it was- Alek. Still wearing the same leather jacket and boots, he carried on walking calmly without even noticing me.
One he had advanced a couple of meters away, I decided it was now that I would play 'the spy game'. Climbing back down to the ground, I hid behind the bush. Watching Alek turn right on the muddy pathway, I then ran to the next bush. This action I continued until I saw Alek walking up to a tree. He smoothly climbed up the ladder attached, and once he had reached the top, he vanished. Where did he go? I wondered. But the answer became clear when I looked up as far as my eyes would allow me; he had entered some kind of treehouse. --------------------------------- @misslittleDHP @eddie12309 @16Moonlight @tattyteddy
