As I'm sitting in the car, Staring up at you glowing star, A wave of beauty passes through me, And I sigh calmly.
Dear star you sing like a harp, Your notes hitting the strings so ever gently like a lark, The midnight sky highlights your magic, As you pass by my eyes like a rainbow carriage.
Oh star you remind me of that one minute stored in my mind, When I was staring up at you as a child, I fell in love with the sky, And of happiness a tear came to my eye.
Now I'm staring up at you yet again, And your beauty still shows me, sends, The wonders of the night, Of the miraculous sky.
Every time I'm sad and far, I stare up at you dear star, And you show me the way, No matter how old I get and how much I decay.
