We can all sit and fantasize about how tomorrow and the future will be better, but this is today and it sucks.
Ask the question, "Have you seen me lately, because I really need to know who I am."
Sometimes life is just what it is. Optimism teaches us to be strong for those we love, but realism teach you to be true to yourself.
So as you stand in the rain, ask yourself, "Am I Alive?"
