There once was a boy named Izzy
Who always happened to be busy
Building a spaceship to fly by the stars
The moon, the milkyway, some aliens, and Mars
A Space Cowboy, he wanted to be
Like his Dad, His Grandpa, and Weird Uncle Lee
He heard tales of Love, Betrayal, and Glory
With Explosions and Crashes as part of the story
Chased from the East, all the way to the West
The life of a Space Cowboy, was simply the best
Or maybe not, just a child’s dreams
As nothing is, quite as it seems
Hiding behind, the glare of the sun
Were Space Cowboys, on the run
Looking for love, on a large Martian Dune
Interrogating forcefully, the Man on the Moon
Because no one has seen, their Dad’s for years
The thought of this thought, just brings them to tears
But Izzy Still builds, a ship to space
To search for love, in quite the wrong place
Just Like his Dad and Uncle Lee Too
Izzy’s pain just grew and grew
For 19 years, his ship now complete
He has a wife, a house, and a cute son named Skeet
He kissed them goodbye and climbed aboard
The blasters ignited, and roared and roared
His heart was racing, faster than light
Soon the Earth was gone, no longer in sight
He zoomed past planets and Asteroids Too
Avoiding Blackholes, away he flew
As free as a bird, in the open Sky
Yet Izzy began, to cry and cry
Being a Space Cowboy, was a lonely life
And Izzy missed, his Lovely Wife
But most of all, he missed his son
Izzy Thought, What have I Done?
Little Skeets all alone, just like me
That’s not the Dad, I wanted to be
Izzy turned around his ship, headed back to earth
Stepped on the gas, gave it all it’s worth
He zipped through the atmosphere, and fell from the sky
He could already smell, his wife’s Apple pie
As he got closer to home, his heart skipped a beat
When he laid his eyes on, his amazing son Skeet.
Skeet yelled out, I missed you so!
Please do stay, Don’t go! Don’t go!
I’ll never leave you, Izzy then said.
Not for the stars or a Mars that is red.
The Best Dad ever, that’s what I’ll be
Big hugs and kisses, just wait and see
So here ends the story of the Boy named Izzy,
Who always happened, to be very busy
Playing Fun games, with his son Skeet
The most happy of boys, you’ll ever meet
