Rod was sitting in the apartment reading his favourite book....Nicky was out of the apartment but Nicky didn't know about his roommates hidden secret that he has been hiding.
So rod was there reading broadway musicals and he was enjoying the peace and quiet but still thinking in his mind should he tell nicky that he has this secret past, all of a sudden nicky came back in to the apartment "hi rod are you ok?" "yeah I am fine" "what are you reading there?" nicky asks "broadway musicals" rod replies nicky thinks about it for a moment and doesn't question it and then just goes and sits down and reads the avenue mail, so as time goes on rod is nervous and wonders if his roommate has figured out his secret "don't you have something to do today?" rod asks nicky "not really I could go see Gary I guess" so nicky wanders out of the apartment and goes to see Gary and leaves rod on his own to think about his thoughts and he wonders if he she should tell nicky what's really going through his head, and come clean about his secret. So rod decides to go for a walk an while he is out he sees Christmas eve and asks for her advice "hi Christmas eve can I ask you something?" "sure rod" "you see I have this friend who is a bit worried about coming out of the closet" "why is your friend in the closet?" she asks "urgh that's not what I meant" "what did you mean?" "well he is scared that he won't get accepted because he is gay" says rod "well I sure that everything will be fine for your friend and people will accept him for the way he is" so with that information rod continues on his way and as he was walking he had this visions of telling nicky and how he will react to it and well would he leave or would something happen, he wished that things were easier and that he could just come clean with nicky but he doesn't want to hurt his friend or have a bad vibe between them. It's getting dark when rod returns the apartment, "hey rod where you been all day buddy was getting worried!" "I just went for a long walk to clear my head and well I am tired I am going to bed....." so rod goes up to the room and climbs in to bed and drifts off to sleep and he has this dream that him and rod are both in bed but he is awake reading and he hears nicky talking in his sleep and that it's rather an unusual way for nicky to be talking. So nicky wakes rod up and says "you ok? you were talking in your sleep" "yeah I am fine" "you don't need to get all defensive rod I was only asking" "I'm not getting defensive!" so they both lay there and rod turns to nicky and says "nicky I have something to tell you" "what is it rod?" "well you know how I seem to do things like your mother as you say" "well yeah you do" says nicky "well I am not sure how to say this..........but I'm, I'm" "what are you trying to say rod?" rod sighs "I'm gay" rod mumbles "what was that buddy I didn't hear what you said" nicky said "urgh I'm gay nicky" there was a long silence nicky trying to think of a way to react to what he has just been told "it's ok buddy i understand" rod looks at nicky with a confused look "ur not mad or shocked or going to run away are you?" "why wud I rod we have been best friends ever since we both worked at the new york stock market" "well I just thought you might feel uncomfortable with it all" rod says "well no there has been signs like your book broadway musicals unless ur a music critic which your NOT. Then it said something" "well i guess we will see what you think in the morning" rod says "good night rod" "good night nicky" Next morning rod woke up to find nicky not in bed he went outside to see if he was there "hey Gary have you seen nicky?" "yeah saw him on his way to work" rod realised he was late for work so he rushed back in to the apartment and got ready for work, he managed to get to work for 10mins late when he got to work he saw nicky who shouted "hey rod hang on a min" rod still rushing to get to his desk "hi nicky where were you this morning?" "oh sorry about that buddy I had to be in early and I didn't want to wake you up early" "it's ok I thought it was to do with something I said last night" rod said "oh no no I just had to be in early......well I will meet you for lunch" so they both went on working and rod wondered if he had told anyone about what he told nicky last night so he was a little on edge til he could speak with nicky at lunch time. So it was lunch time and the two friends met up and sat in a cafe talking "look nicky I didn't want what I told you last night effecting anything" rod says "no it won't buddy because I accept it" little did rod know that nicky had a hidden secret of his own. So lunch time went without a hitch and nicky and rod went back to work and the afternoon was event free and then they went back to the avenue and met up with Brian and Christmas eve who were talking about their up an coming wedding.
Hey you guys you excited about the wedding?" Brian asks "yeah yeah" rod and nicky say well they went in to their apartment nicky and rod sit on the couch and just look at each other with a puzzled expression on their faces "rod buddy" "yes nicky" "have u ever been with another guy then?" rod looks a bit suprises by this question "well......" rod clears his throat "yes nicky I have been with another guy" "oh ok" nicky says
then all of a sudden the bad idea bears appear now you would think this would be like the whole angel devil thing to you and me well no these bears both want to encourage you to do bad things but why have they suddenly appeared,
Nicky was cornered by the 2 bears and well they were talking to him "hi nicky why the long face?" "hi you two, well I don't know guys guess I am a little worried about this situation"
