You saw beauty once, her face shining bright,
She looked up with big eyes into the light,
Her hair fell carelessly perfect,
Around her face in a framing effect,
Eyelashes curved, lips slightly pink,
Her expression, enticing you to think,
Wonder who she is, this vision before you,
Can this mirrored reflection really be true?
Imperfection reigns, a cheekbone undefined,
But a golden twinkle, hinting of a mind so kind,
Soft skin caught in blemishes,
There, but useless like appendixes,
Just look her dead set in the eye,
Tell her she's beautiful, I dare you to try.
