The tendons that slip around each other, striped and tough, beautifully intricate.
How all the bones, blood vessels and nerves know their paths.
How some structures only function is for the security of another.
The body is a complicatedly simple miracle of evolution.
It is perfect because it works, it is successful because it is the best there is.
It is not perfect because it is trial and error. A deep tendon must reach through a superficial one, a nerve must weave under obstacles, joints must be supported in their weakest point.
Wonderful. Amazing. Fascinating. Beautiful.
