16 May 2012
I dreamt that time went astray,
And gave me an extra day,
What a curse of a gift,
What a treasure to befit,
How days pass un-wanted,
Oh how I was daunted,
Such plans came to fruit,
As time stood so acute,
I could climb a mountain,
Make love in a fountain,
Teach math to a wolverine,
Become an ancient queen,
Train a wild stallion,
Form a menacing battalion,
Sail the seven seas,
Eat fine wine and cheese,
What treasure an extra day brings,
Perhaps I could even grow wings!
But alas, my dream was not to be,
For time was not so fond of my planned spree,
Perhaps I should just treasure every day,
Just in case time does not stray.
