Old and hair all grey, Nothing left to say, Now the kids have gone away,

Hands no longer touching, Passion not clutching, But I'm not judging,

You are still a pair, So perhaps it's still there, The feelings that you care,

There is a glimmer, A loving shimmer, Helping her on her Zimmer,

That gentle touch on her hand, Now I know this was planned, To help her one day to stand,

Passion may have gone, Now for that 3 o'clock yawn, After cutting the lawn,

You sit beside each other on the leather, Having beaten all the stormy weather, Knowing, simply, you are together.
