A buzzard sat in a tree, full of his ravenous dinnertime-spree,

As he spied out on the horizon's sun set, and there wallowing in mud all wet, it was the strangest creature he'd not yet met,

A long furry nose, that could deftly pick a single rose,

While his back jumped up and over, like rolling hills of clover,

Prehensile tail, it waved about, smacking a plain old warthog's snout,

His teeth curled up in a spiral, watching him seemed quite viral, For all near animals turned to stare, but this creature did not think to care,

From pondering, the old buzzard, he could not abstain, even when the clouds started to pour with rain,

As all other witnesses ran off in fear, old buzzard flew ever near,

Buzzard stared at the humps on its back and a long nose all black - suddenly its bottom fell off with a splash! Buzzard made to dash -

But the mysterious beast covered in mud, he turned triumphantly to inspect what went thud,

Out of the muck, looking a bit like a junkie, out sprang a dirty little monkey!

He dashed off to the distance, holding his long tail, thanking its existance,

The buzzard sat with eyes wide as pools, thinking his brain must be tricked by fools,

But the strange muddy beast before him, still had two humps and one trunk, So it rolled over and moaned - 'ca-thunk!' -

Off it's back sprung a camel, plastered in black mud but still as real as any other mammal,

And now buzzard looked at the beast, and sighed with a huge relief for it was just an elephant, now having a grand old rant,

"That will teach you, monkey and camel, not to wallow in MY mud hollow."
