I know my own heart and mind,
But it is hard to tell how I feel,
Understanding myself,
It is a big deal,
It makes me wonder sometimes,
About how things tick and turn
How different is it inside our minds?
How different is yours to mine?
I see one colour,
Do you see another?
Are the trees green for you too?
Or are the leaves bright orange?
Or just plain blue?
Where you see love, do I see hate?
Am I patient, or do I make you wait?
When you comment on my dress,
And say I should take it off,
Is that how you flirt to impress,
Or how you say it's rotten, and scoff,
Where I see sunshine, do you see rain?
When actually, they both remain,
A sparkling bright rainbow of a world,
Where we need to dance,
And satin is to be twirled.
Your mind is blue, mine is green,
I know the colour changes,
Altering its sheen,
Let's just embrace our world,
our life,
our loves,
Hold close your lovers, your wife,
Husband, children and brother,
It is our mind to take,
so many colours to discover.
