So I'm out in the supermarket, Perusing the aisles, Looking at the full shelves, Wondering who's got some miles, I think I know what to stay away from, There's an aisle that smells like fish for one! But perhaps I could use soap to defeat the fish... So long at this guy could dream and wish.

Perhaps I should turn down the sweets, Lovely good guys just waiting there to meet, But where is the excitement! Too good, I'd get bored, I need one that's a bit naughty too, Good with his sword... ...If you get what I mean, I'd be lying if I didn't say it was important, For him to be up for some fun and play, I'd want to keep him in bed everyday.

I glance at the list in my hand, It seems rather long with futile demands, Is it really about a handsome stubble? Or how you talk, and never a mumble, Make laughing part of the everyday, And not make me sad in any way, I really just want someone to talk to, Is that so much to ask? Just let us be us together, Remove the pretences, throw off the masks, A little bit of safety and trust, That would be nice, I wouldn't have to worry, But don't let us go stale or rust.

I turn down the gadget aisle, And next to the wires and plugs, There he is, with open arms for a hug, Warm smile, sparks fly, Always a bit of mystery, To understand him, I always try, He would teach me about my heart, And show me we're better together, Not apart.

My list of qualities just isn't right, It's something I can't describe, But I will know him, I hope, one night.
