Here I stand, small and quiet, Just listening to natures own disquiet, A thick and melodic song rings out, A mother blackbird calling home her chicks, I take a moment to ponder her words, unheard In daylight's darkness, an overlooked chaos, Of strife and splendour, A drifting, monotonous cycle of breath - And tiny, beating hearts, Powering a world imprisoned by dimension, Yet time stands still here, Inevitably my thoughts turn to you, But I lock them all away, To be pondered some other day.
Iced lemonade, specks of crystal on the glass, All of what we see, hidden in a drop, Refracted life - a rainbow of thought, Meandering with the breeze, Darkening skin with a brightening sky, A peaceful radiance, temporary rest, Before the sun sets again in the west.
