The Opuss Crowd, Writing our words so proud, I just want to say thanks this way, Before I head off for some zoo-y days, There's a hell of a lot of you, I know, Even I look at this and think "whoa!" (Cause, believe me, I had to write it TWICE, But I really shouldn't get started on that angry Apple vice!) So guys, buckle up for the ride, This is gunna be like the on-coming tide...
I really must start with the Knickerless Princess, @Delilah the Sweet, With a humour you just can't beat, Only types with one thumb, Swooning for Sheldon, the one not dumb, I pay her cash for laughs, cause she's worth it all, Always making me smile, Always up for a party or ball, So much to say but such a crowd to see, @HeatherAnne is another dear to me, Her imagination her greatest tool, Seemingly run on rocket fuel, Scampering around In fairytale land, Always something new to be found. @elf_girl occupies a similar space, Giving old stories a brand new face.
I think @Nom is quite the character, An introvert seemingly up for a cheeky natter, Until he gets bored, And sends a smile with a snore, He even called me a Smelly Pig! But somehow I just love him more.
There is a high-class story-teller amongst us, Of @MrAlex I really must make a fuss, Kept stories by his side, To ensure they had their place and pride, He has a gift, a talent, a treasure, For weaving words, oh so clever.
@Odinsfist and @eyes5ib are a troublesome pair, Of these young storytellers you'd better beware, Dragons and armies flying through the air, Hard to tell them apart, I admit, But they always make me laugh with their weetabix wit.
@smellyfingers is beautifully unique, His unwavering morals he won't let beat, Sometimes soppy, sometimes tongue-in-cheek, I'm glad his scary mask is thrown away, And hope his words always come my way.
There is all ways a joke to be found, Especially when @TheCodsPollocks is around, And of course, @gazplend the terrible flirt, I'm sure he wouldn't mind a bit of fun in the dirt, @glen, he likes a bit of sauce and has a naughty mind, Good job I'm not tea-rating his stories, I'm sure I'd get a fine, Thankfully he likes to post pissed after some wine, And those are really quite funny little rhymes.
Oh but the comedian that is @misslittleDHP, I'm sure she once wrote about pee, And she's done her part to help men flee, When women are suffering PMT, But she's multi-talented, too, you see, I'm sure you all know and agree.
I laugh about @curiouscraig and his nutella shame, I think @eddie12309 is great for starting a wordy game, The #sixwords improv I really did have fun, I hope that theme's not over and done! I loved her office silver snake, The giggles made my belly ache!
Speaking of wordy manipulation, @Stablish practically owns this station, Able to take just a word, just one, And make it all out in a poem of sadness or fun, Helps keep Opuss packed to the ceiling, Full of our emotions and feelings. So many other passionate authors too, @iPuss almost made me cry one day with all the things she saw and knew. @Irrational_Kimmi doesn't have much luck with her heart, For her and her love are kept far apart. @redfae always knows the words to pick, Really she's one top notch writing chick, Not afraid to call her husband a dick, (even if the argument is over quick) @sjw is a lady with passion, writing strong words, But always up for a laugh and some jokes, And having a little flirt with the blokes.
@leelee101 is the king of seeing the words of the day, Making rhyme out of them in every way, Thank goodness he's here to make us look, And remind us how reality is in play.
Leigh's "Sanctuary" is simply one of the best, For it helped my soul one day when it needed rest. Always great to have @Fly10 around, Especially to protect me from @wolfie, the beastly hound, Who tried to say the existence of Santa was in doubt, And that the Tooth Fairy was out! With all that Dalek joking, At least he made me giggle, That really did make me laugh Just thinking of a Dalek wiggle!
@DaddyDooDahs is having a fling with the Queen! He said they met in some little canteen, Thank goodness his work makes up for his sins, Cause, "A Moment in Time" And "Entwined" Are really quite sublime.
I'll always love @IndiaSparrow and @PoppyA, For those dragons they created one day, Poppy just seems able to make words dance, While Sarah can make a masterpiece at a glance.
I first loved @Bluegerbil because the thought of a vibrant rodent, Was really something quite potent, She's sometimes a little shy, Amazing though, so I'm not sure why, But her argument with a spot, Really made me laugh a lot.
Oh the honest writings of @mort, All part of the Opuss chocolate assort, A bare and refreshing style, I've not seen for a while.
Magic words come from all directions, Creating one hell of an Opuss collection, The mysterious @milkeyedmender drifts around at night, And @lonelynutmeg98 is a little quiet but that's alright, They both hold words so dear and read with all their might, It's lovely to see a new pop-up of the what they write.
@Weirdwolf isn't around much anymore, But his work I do adore, I do have to wonder though, He built a tower so tall and sound, Why on earth is the loo on the ground?
Sometimes Opuss is freaky and scary, The #darknursery rhymes were all a little hairy, I have a tender heart, Running from zombies is a particular art, But the work of @puffy1980 is a guilty read, Hearing of all the people bleed, But I can't help but be fascinated, While characters are assassinated. @thebeautifulundead has a scary name, But not all the posts are about burning in flames, Writing with observations so deep, And probably writing about love and sex in her sleep.
Kind @Dovahkiin, Born of a dragon, His thoughts quite specialist, A true perfectionist.
@earthbound/@lightbulb I do miss, Not around for a bit off in exam 'bliss', I really liked her stuff, She spoke her mind and was tough.
@Jamtots I like to call Jammy, Cause that just amuses me, But seriously, a wizard in disguise, Conjuring up images, A feast for my mind's eyes.
@kivihe is lovely and kind, I imagine her soul flower-entwined, She knows who she is, And her kinky pieces are just the biz.
@ckahn is a gentle spring breeze, "Transcendent Pause" is the bee's knees, Really, she'll take you some where new, A talent with word choice, it's true.
@RichWithey boarded the Crazy train, But his username I spell in vain, He's found success on the Ether, Well worth it, the achiever, Worked hard, like a beaver...? @TheViolator wisely said, "Let's enjoy life" instead, Just like @MrsS after a fall, Buck up and "Sod them all!" For @bryanrobertheap, I always wonder of the name he keeps, But that doesn't stop me reading, His words are certainly succeeding, @crowncottage is all techno, Sharing Tom May for us to know, She's always about, Loving the reading, no doubt. @Odd lives with her head in books, Always has a thought worth a look, @jojo72 has a dragon with pink toes, The way she wrote "My Man" simply flows, @bunts is a tough cookie, So strong, a real goodie, @munford created the thriller, Jack Dawes the well-dressed killer, @ordoadchao holds words with power, I'm sure it's what they think about in the shower, @vikinghorn brought vagina-related news, Dan's intelligence and opinions just ooze, @DuRoLuRo in love, no longer searching to find, @rachrocksdotcom really knows her mind, @dodged needs to follow his dreams, And know life can be whatever he deems, @chy is a fellow ice cream lover, Writes clever posts I must rediscover, @onedirection19 and her romantic tales, The cuteness of her doggie always prevails, @Curiouscat with her new kittens, News of them makes me smitten, @burrfoot, @Rawren and @Cinders, All having dentist trouble, But it's all made better after a cuddle? @Samuri's playing a game with death, Amazon stories just make me hold my breath.
Some of you I really don't know as well, But I'm sure you're all pretty swell, I know you all have potential, Just like this modest little app, This post's all gone a LITTLE mental, Like the great (*cough*) Apple tree, releasing sweet word-filled sap for all us working bees... I'm pretty exhausted now, Holy cow! I didn't think there was so many of us! We definitely wouldn't fit on a single op-bus, But I guess it just goes to show, We're a crowd that continues to grow! Everyday I could add more and more, But I have to draw a line somewhere, Thank you all for creating work I adore, Now, you'll be glad, I think that's all I wish to declare.
