[Collaborated story written from four perspectives - so check out @MrAlex, @eyes5ib and @Odinsfist's parts! #4war]

Our mission was clear: reach the centre of the space station and confront the Generals of the opposition. But there was a hell of a lot that stood in our way, we had only just penetrated the station's shell and immediately come under enemy fire.

Bullets and lasers searched for me, I felt one displace the hair beside my cheek. Things happened so fast yet my brain seemed to be in slow motion. Reflexes and training took over.

Suddenly men stopped falling at the pull of my trigger, it took me a moment to reload. My Caption, Josh, looked over at me with eyes that never smile anymore. He gestured for Alex and I to head forward, there were no men left standing in the other end of the corridor.

I looked down at the fallen faces as we past... Stevie, when had he taken those bullets?! I felt my heart sink a little further, knowing he had children at home on Earth.

Too many bodies littered the ground, from both sides... But I walled off my heart, took a deep breath and carried on.

Alex took one side of the door and I took the other. He gave me a small smile, one that had hints of a goodbye laced through it - what was on the other side of this door?

We kicked down the door, immediately shrinking back against the walls so Josh and Issac could lace the room with bullets and grenades. The explosions made my ears ring but I peered around the door frame and motioned the all clear. Strange, I thought, where are they leading us?

We advanced into the room, four doors - bugger - we had to split up to cover all of them. We should really retreat, I thought, a team of 20 men and woman reduced to just 4... How will we win this?

I held a gun in each side, one laser, one free bullets, and waited for orders to disobey - I couldn't let my Captain go through the door he choose.

No, there was something there, lurking, breathing... I could feel its presence, I felt its hungry menacing thoughts... I had to take that door, it was my duty.
