What do the reindeer do, After Xmas and the hullaballu - Do they eat well and work out, Or binge, drink, sing and shout?
Does Santa give them a break, Bake them a New Year's carrot cake? Perhaps a holiday now the work is done, Just a couple of months in the sun?
Oh, but the elves must start again, I wonder if they ever complain? Do they cry, "So many toys! So many little girls and boys!"
They must just get back to it; Wood to shape and wool to knit, In their pointed hats carry on - But the reindeer - are they gone?
Set free into the arctic wild, To fly off as St Nick smiled, Another Christmas over and done, But please come back for next year's run!
