We been through thick and thin
Secretly loving one another
Whispering to friends our feelings
Hoping the other would know
Seen each other go through bad times and feel lonely
Often wishing people could understand our true emotions but constantly hiding
Loving you should be wrong but it just feels so right
Slowly working up courage through the years
Always remaining great friends while the other dated or was in a relationship
Praying for a chance and on Christmas Eve our prayers were answered!!
