Guaranteed a hot summer, Not a drop of rain. Barbecues galore, Enough Ice Cream to make you go insane.
The kids look forward to six weeks off, The parents wonder how to keep them entertained! There's no need to book flights abroad, Just forget that trip to Spain.
But the classic British weather is a funny old thing, We have storms and heavy rain with the odd day of sun. Summer seems to be over before it has even begun.
So I sit here writing a poem, Instead of sunbathing outside. And hope others share my annoyance, At why the weathermen have lied!
