So how many of you are aware that there has been an enormous Hindu religious festival going on throughout the world for this past nine days? Today is the final wrap up! Yes. It's called navratri meaning nine nights. It's celebrated to signify the battle of mother Durga over the cruel and atrocious looking demon Mahisashura. It goes on for nine days, and today marks the last day, where the victory goes to her. We celebrate it with dancing, music, colors and spirituality. ALOTS OF THEM! Some of us observe full fasting, with no solid food, some choose to have water and fruits as an alternative. The ultimatum is when we dance every night and sing to glory to her sacred hymns!
