That is why I'm here,

Right now this second,

You did this,

You came to my one space of freedom and silence,

And you woke me.

The beach was my scene,

It still is,

I'm just not there right now,

Surfing my thoughts,

The warm waves of dreams

And desires,

My one escape to senselessness where everything makes sense,

Then you show up,

Standing on the shore,

I get into the shallows,

The luscious depths calling back to me,

Warning me,

I stand with you in the shallows,

Staring in disbelief,

Waves washing over us and we touch,

Then we kiss,

Oh how I have always wished this,

Then I woke up,

And writhe around drowning in blankets and the constraints of my room,

But I know that although it was a second,

It was a second I spent with you.
