We lie on the sofa,

you leaning into me,

I feel your heartbeat,

my arm is around you,

protecting you and sheltering you,

Your small hand takes mine,

and places it on your leg,

You lean into me more,

I feel your heartbeat,

You turn and gaze into my eyes,

And I see yours,

Glinting I the half light,

The palest blue,

We lean into each other and kiss,

A smile creeping onto our faces,

I'm leaning into you,

Your arm is around me,

And our hearts beat together.
