What if my life,
Never became a legacy,
Never left behind a wake,
For other people to tread upon,
What if my life,
Like a tear falling down a strangers face,
Unnoticed,
Unidentified,
Unquestioned,
Failing to gain a second glance,
What if my life,
Was never missed,
Never recognised to be absent,
Forgotten,
Mistaken,
Neglected,
A non presence,
What if my life,
Was missed only by me,
Yearning to gain it back,
My epitaph,
My grave message,
Never missed, much forgotten, mind your step.
