Elizabeta and Nellie were flabbergasted. An inheritance? Given early? It was unheard of! As the two girls looked at each other, they knew what they'd choose.
"But," Jessie Bear spoke again. "In return for an early inheritance, you both must stay on land for four extra days."
Nellie gasped. This was horrible! As if spending one day on land wasn't bad enough, five would be dreadful!
Elizabeta looked at her friend sadly. The smile of receiving an inheritance early had vanished from her face.
"I guess we'll say..." Elizabeta sadly began.
"Yes," Nellie finished quickly. "We'll do it. Thank you."
Her friend looked at her, hope in her eyes. Nellie looked at the floor. This was a big price to pay for an inheritance. She hoped it was worth it.
"Good," Captain Bianca smiled. "You can go back to your cabin. On your beds you will find enough clothes for six days. Be careful girls."
With that, Elizabeta and Nellie left to pack for their trip.
