Once they were out of the Captains Quarters, Elizabeta hugged her friend. Her eyes were twinkling and her mouth beaming.
"Thank you," she whispered. "This means so much to me."
Nellie smiled. She loved making her friend happy bit this time the price was nearly to high. Five days on land was four days too many if you asked her.
Moments later they arrived at the door to their room. Nellie pushed open the door and gasped.
"Oh, Elizabeta," she breathed. "They out did themselves this time!"
Six outfits lay on each of their beds- five for day to day wear and an evening dress for fancier occasions.
Elizabeta ran to her bed. All of her outfits were simple- five brightly colored baseball style shirts and five pairs of jeans. Her evening dress was silky. It had short ruffled sleeves and went down below her knees. It was a most attractive shade if violet.
Nellie looked at her loot, too. She also had five brightly colored medium sleeved shirts and five pairs of dark wash jeans. Nellies evening dress was burgundy in color with cap sleeves and a long puffy skirt that fell below her knees and ankles.
" Oh Nellie," Elizabeta began, but was interrupted by two loud knocks.
