Lucky One

Fortune cookies
Never are wrong.
I ate one the other day
As I was listening to a favorite song.
"You will be successful in
An entertainment career"
I scoffed at it-
Public speaking is really a fear.
I didn't remember the cookie
Until the morning
The play was about to start
And I acted and acted
It came straight from my heart
And I realized then
Cookie fortunes can come true
If we can dream them
And if a dream is pursued.

The Beauty In Hell

Out on a porch. Was a girl. She sat. And she watched the world. She saw things she could not explain. And heard things she'd rather not retain. But there she sat. All by herself. And finally found.
