I see him and I wonder: Is that the real him? Or is it just a front That he wears to show us That he's okay, he's fine; Living his life happily. Although he could be sad And we wouldn't know.

Because take it from me, Someone who knows the art Of putting on a mask To show the world you're fine:

I wear heels but I can barely stand up. I wear glasses but I can't see for the tears. I dress like a model but look like an old hag. I act like a comedian but I feel like a tragedy.

So take it from me, A lot can go on behind closed doors. If you look carefully Maybe you'll see the scars he's made himself. Like the scars I made myself. Because hiding can hurt, And I'd rather hurt myself than anyone else.
