Well, I spent yesterday in Camden. I am now aching all over, fifty quid poorer and exhausted. But god, was it worth it. I have never seen so much stuff in one place. My friend and I found sequinned dress shops, shops selling Totoro bags, stalls making orange juice, a huge line of stalls selling food, lots of goth shops and stalls, and pretty much everything else under the sun. I found a stall selling nothing but hats, and got a top hat for £35. Then we found the most fantastic music stall in the Stables market. My friend is a massive Guns and Roses fan, so she bought two of their CDs. I found a second-hand copy of Who Are You by The Who for £3 and a Ramones anthology for £10. So I've got two quid left. Even though I didn't buy a lot, it was definitely a worthwhile trip. One day, I want to move to London, and now I know which part of it I want to be in. The noise and the busyness gives my mum a headache, but that's one of the things that attracts me. My hometown is so boring in comparison. And I like to people-watch, so I'll have a wider range, as it were. And we didn't see anything like the whole of the market. So we're heading back in the Easter holidays, without my parents, to look for things for prom and to get a look at the rest of the markets, like Inverness Street Market. And there are a few places I want to look for, like the Enterprise on Chalk Farm Road. Mainly because that's where the makers of The Mighty Boosh did their first comedy gig together. I am a massive Boosh fan. If you've never seen it, look it up on Youtube. It's amazing. Anyway, if you ever get a chance to go to Camden market, DO IT. Even if you don't have any money, go look around. You won't regret it.
