She was the perfect student
Straight As, always listening
Happy-go-lucky, laughing along
Spending her nights out with friends
The perfect girl, you would say
Pretty and popular, attractive
Boys couldn't get enough
She had one of those faces people trust
She was confided in and adored
Friendly and rich, threw parties
Messed up the house but sorted it
Parents knew she was wonderful.
But she went missing in the spring
Bag, clothes and possessions gone
Nothing much left behind
But a few short notes
To her mother, saying 'sorry'
To her best friend, saying 'I'll miss you'
To the only boy who didn't care, saying
'I loved you and you never knew'.
She was found the next morning
3am her parents got the call
Found hanging from a tree
Written on her left wrist the words:
'I'm Sorry'
On her right arm:
'You never saw my pain'
