One summer's eve Walking along the beach Something glinted in the sand Poking just out of reach.
I bent down to scrabble And lifted up my find Brushed away the sand To see what I had mined.
A tiny golden elephant Somebody's lucky charm Lost to them forever more For me it brings new calm.
Once in the life of someone else It's now a part of mine This little trinket's memories Will always, with me, shine.
