Leaf, you're so green when spring is dawning
You sparkle brightly with dew in morning
Leaf, in summer you cool the air
As the wind rustles through on a day so fair
Leaf, in autumn you're a riot of colour
Falling from trees as the days get duller
Leaf, in winter you're fragile and dying
You only live for a year, so for that I am crying.
