I see you every day As I'm walking down the street Our paths always cross But we never seem to meet
And just the other day We shared our first smile Our eyes locked together Time stopped for a while
But will you always be The girl I'll never know Our lives nearly reaching But just out of touch Will you always be The girl I'll never know A paper thin shadow Just out of my clutch
I guess I'll never know The girl with auburn hair Unless I muster up the courage To speak as without care
She will always be A memory, a wish As I cast her aside; She's just another fish.
