"I can't do this anymore..." He sighed, eyes downcast to avoid mine. "I never loved you okay?" My eyes grew wide with shock. I backed away with my palms outstretched, as if I could protect myself with that simple gesture. I steeled myself, surging forward and wrapping my hand around the back of his neck. I yanked him down an brought his lips to mine, his chi rushing from his body. I knew what he saw, my eyes lit from their normal brown to a startling silver. "I could make you love me." I growled, my voice from velvet to breaking glass. " I could make you forget about everything but me." I snatched his collar, running my fingers just inside his shirt to graze skin. He swallowed and I watched his Adam's apple bob with want. His eyes shuddered as sex ran from my fingers to his neck. A smile bloomed across his face. His whole body shuddered. His smile faltered and he collapsed as I drained him. "This is what happens to men who leave sirens."
