Think of an average day... Do you wake up alone? With someone? How did they get there? And you? You shower. You scrub yourself with products, made by who? You clean your teeth, spit out the ready mix o grime, last nights beer, food and sex- where does it go? Whose job is it to see to it on the other side? Would you know their face? You make a coffee. Espresso, tea, nespresso! You drink it, how far did it travel to be pissed out by you in the afternoon? You pull on your jeans, your skirts, your panties, your foul unwashed y-front ready to crumble, think of the tiny hands that made this happen! You pull on your shoes, break a heel, start your car and catch the train, who drives it? What will their child be when they grow up? Delays come hard and fast, you check the time on your watch, your phone, you switch the song to angry and think of your late finish, you read a book you bought because you saw a bunch of advers on the tube followed by a hundred people all reading it, looking engrossed, hoping for a feature film, loving the mediocrity! This is where you get off, touch your oy

ster card, show your ticket, stand in line to buy another ticket: now look at that line. What involvement do they have with you? Maybe the guy at the front made your toothbrush? Perhaps the young girl in front with the promising smile was the bitch on the phone who got your order wrong, delivered to the wrong address and charged you extra? Who are they!? And so you move on, unmotivated but determined to reach your destination, you buy another coffee from a semi-coherent Italian student in starbucks, he writes indecipherable code on your cup that somehow tells another student how to make your coffee. Latte, soy milk, 3 sugars. Where does that sugar come from? Who makes it look that way? Who puts it in the tiny packets as a substitute when the italian asshole forgot to put it in your cup himself? Who thought a long thin stick was a good idea for stirring? Your change from the coffee, now in dry wrinkled hands, what has it paid for before - since 2002 it has been passed from hand to hand, coffee; beer; sardines; toast; breakfast; chewing gum; vodka; salt; books; tickets; coke; shoes; debt; blowjob; umbrella; map! Where are you now? Was your adventure meaningful?
