Out of all my cats, you're the most cuddly one. You always seek for attention. You always nibble at our shirts. And snuggle whenever you can.
Nobody wanted you. It's because of your black fur. Because black cats scare them. Because they see you as the unlucky one. But I took you in since you were smaller. And I have loved you ever since.
We decided on the name Cocoa. In reference to Cocoa powder. Because we named all our cats after edible food. So we thought Cocoa fits you best. Pretty funny really.
Mischievous. That's what you really are. Always trying to sneak away food from the kitchen. Always looking for trouble with other stray cats outside our house. When we punish you, you gave us that face and that mew. I could never stay mad at you for long.
I gave you more attention that our other cats. Mostly because you like cuddles while the others don't. I began to think Yoghurt got jealous of all the attention you received from the family. Silly really.
You went away one day. I don't know where. I looked for you. I went around the neighborhood. Visited every floor. So many black cats around yet, none was you. Did you run away? Did you get too curious and got yourself lost? Will you come back?
You still have the purple-belled collar on. I bought you that. As a symbol of welcome from the family. I kept my ears open all the time. For the sound of the bell. For your mews. I never hear it anymore.
It's only been less than a week since. Yet I think about you always. I still hope you'll come back. I know you would. I hope you would. I am saddened when I think of you. Out there. Alone. Are you scared? Are you lonely? Do you miss me? I miss you.
You might be big, but you're always afraid of strangers, of foreign places, of loud noises. Do you hear when I call your name? Can you smell me when I walk around the neighborhood looking for you?
I want him back. My Cocoa. This is a horrible feeling. Losing something you love. I want him back. Pray for me. Pray that he comes home. Pray that I find him. Safe and sound. Thank you.
