The world's shortest scheduled commercial flight runs between two Scottish islands, Westray and Papa Westray, covering about 1.7 miles. The flight takes around 90 seconds. The record crossing was completed in 47 seconds. Passengers spend more time boarding the plane than they spend in the air.
