Commitment is my problem...
And I have no idea why!
But I find it hard to stick to something,
Make a success and watch it fly.
Maybe because it scares me,
To get attached when it'll leave.
But this doesn't happen with people,
Which is why I can't believe...
That not strictly true,
well when I say people I mean friends.
That's just because I know
Everything good has an end.
But when it comes to love,
And matters true of the heart,
Commitment just can't happen...
So I avoid cupids dart.
Now there's no reason for this.
I've never been hurt by a lover...
Maybe I'm just to protective,
And my heart I have to cover.
So I'll keep pushing feelings away,
I'll pretend that they're not there.
Just so I don't have to hurt,
Just so I don't have to care.
