Maja laid back on the soft green grass, fingering the blades and picking them, before sprinkling them around. She loved the long summer days they spent around the equator. It's was nice to catch some sun, and it always seemed so dark in the winter months, and she'd often find herself longing for those sunny days again. Beyond her eye line, speakers crackled and burst into life. "Please refrain from picking the vegetation." They stated. Maja's cheeks flared. Perhaps the garden wasn't such a good idea today. Clearly the watchers were monitoring them more closely, this had to do with the large amount of use it had to endure in the summer.
She sat up and scanned the vast greenery that was framed by the solar panels. The area had grown a little busy, but she shouldn't be surprised, most were students like herself getting away from the hustle and bustle of the working decks, and the weather was far to nice to waste away in their pods.
Scanning, she noted the group of typically popular girls sunning themselves in the corner of the grass garden. They'd attracted the boys which Sat in small groups surrounding them like satellites. Any one would think that their world's revolved around them. Chuckling to herself she stood, grabbing her bag she strode purposefully away. She didn't need to see the macho display, as the satellites fort each other for the pretty girls attention. If only the male adolescents had evolved as fast as the girls. Fighting for attention is pointless, you get you're fated one chosen for you, and no amount of flirting would change that.
Sighing, she descended the glass stairwell, glancing at the next city, five hundred miles away. The design slightly different to the city that she inhabits, although no doubt the people there had slightly looser rules. It was always said that The Koi although the prettiest floating city, was the strictest.
