A cold sweat would have broke out over me, the night was pure black, pure... terror. The horror had began unfolding before I'd even managed to get a grip on the events that flashed before my eyes. The sickly smell of the carnival and its grim inhabitance, the fair rides still spun, the laughter a cruel sinister sound and the masters of it all smiling wider than the devil at the declaration of war. No longer were the noises of fun coming from those who were visiting. Tears, hot, heavy, thick and fast, and screams that make your blood crawl and your skin curdle rang through the air. My eyes wide watching it all happen, shouting, begging for people to come and help. Trying to prevent more from turning into victims like me. Having to be invisible, silent and only able to watch it all happen as if I was smoke on the air. But that's a part of the fun of the fair. Ghosts can stay and play forever.
