Ignorance and innocents are clearly not the same. Don't substitute them for one and other. Or for this ignorance you'll be blamed.
Ignorance has knowledge that something could be true. But they choose to ignore it. As if it is all taboo.
Whereas innocence is different. It means unknowing ( that's completely) But both words are clearly referent.
-My personal opinion on the words. Please do not scrutinise and 'define' them completely to the dictionary, as for most situations, I find mine to be accurate-
