That primal growl fills the streets. We hurry home so death we won't meet. As a horrid creature bubbles through the earth. Long in size, and large in girth. Tall as a crane, but stronger still, It's a animal machine that's made to kill. So hurry home to your beds, For this is a creature that needs to be fed.
The night time terror is one that's rare. Don't meet it's eyes, don't see it's glare. As it's then you'll see your life flash, When it's teeth start to sharpen, and begin to gnash. You'll wish you'd never looked at the beast. As once you've looked you become it's feast. But as long as you keep yourself hidden away. This nightmare terror you'll keep away.
Everyone had that childhood fear, mine was imagining tarantulas at the end of my bed running up to my face and eating my toes... Haha. ©Odd
